Spotlighting Facilitator Anne Buran Øyen
From professional dancer to engineer and finally, to a life dedicated to spiritual coaching and movement, Anne Buran Øyen has traveled a remarkable path to finding her true purpose. Her journey is a testament to the power of transformation, listening to one’s inner calling, and embracing the unknown.
After initially pursuing a career in dance, she felt a sense of longing and discontent that led her to take a completely different path—returning to school and ultimately achieving her dream job as an engineer. While she experienced joy and fulfillment in this new field, the familiar sense of restlessness resurfaced after a few years. It became clear that there was something more she was meant to do. “I had this realization that I’m going to be doing something different in my life now, and I had no idea what it was—so that was a scary time,” Anne recalls. This realization marked the beginning of her spiritual journey, a time of deep exploration, personal development, and searching for answers.
Her pivotal moment came when she encountered an interview with Mary Morrissey. Inspired by Mary’s story of healing and empowerment, she signed up for the DreamBuilder program. “I remember those 12 weeks so vividly. I had a knock on the door of my mind—this is what I would love to do. I would love to teach these principles,” she shares. This decision led her to become a Certified DreamBuilder Coach and Life Mastery Consultant with the Brave Thinking Institute in 2017, an investment that ultimately guided her away from engineering and into full-time coaching. Reflecting on this transition, Anne shared, “There was a part in my vision where I was doing dance also in some way. I guess I knew that was going to be a part of my life, but I wasn’t there at that point.”
As she delved deeper into personal growth and coaching, she was introduced to TranscenDance™, though initially, she resisted the idea. Having stepped away from the dance world years earlier, she wasn’t sure she was ready to return. “To be honest, I wasn’t completely sold on it at first. I think I had some resistance to the whole dance field,” she admits. However, an encounter with a fellow Norwegian coach who was a certified TranscenDance™ facilitator sparked her curiosity.
During a breakthrough experience in Colorado, a series of synchronicities—including a chance encounter with a book and a powerful moment on the mountain—led her to embrace TranscenDance™ as an integral part of her work. “I remember asking, ‘Infinite, what is it that you want me to see while I’m here?’ And in that exact moment, music started playing from a wedding party at the hotel—music I had once used as a dance teacher. I just started dancing right there. That was the sign I needed.”
The realization that movement could reconnect her with ease, flow, and feminine energy was transformative. She had been operating in a highly structured, masculine energy, focused on building her business. Through TranscenDance™, she rediscovered joy, balance, and a deeper connection to herself. “I know this is really important for me—to balance my feminine and masculine energies. I had forgotten that for a while, and everything became just about results. TranscenDance™ helped me reconnect with fun and flow.”
Initially, she saw it as a separate practice from her coaching, but soon she integrated it into her programs as a powerful tool for her clients. “At first, I thought I had to create a separate program for TranscenDance, but then I realized—why not just add it as a gift to my clients? So, I made it a part of my 12-month coaching program as a bonus. And they love it.”
Today, she offers a 12-month coaching program where TranscenDance™ is a featured bonus, inviting clients to monthly classes and incorporating it into her VIP retreats. Her recent retreat in Tenerife reaffirmed the profound impact of TranscenDance™ on her clients, many of whom experienced breakthroughs in their personal and professional lives. “I get amazed by the feedback. One client told me, ‘I realized I have come here to give love.’ She had been so focused on her business in a structured way, but in that moment, she had a true breakthrough. It’s those moments that remind me why I do this work.”
Anne’s personal practice has also evolved, setting aside time for her own dance sessions and continuing to immerse herself in live experiences, including the TranscenDance™ Transformational Retreat in Costa Rica. She describes the retreat as life-changing, particularly the experiences of dancing on the beach, engaging in soul retrieval processes, and moving through the labyrinth while meditating. “I don’t know anything more beautiful than dancing with music in nature, with the ocean right there. It was one of the most powerful experiences of my life.”
Looking ahead, she envisions weaving TranscenDance™ even more deeply into her retreats, exploring new ways to incorporate movement beyond the traditional class format. “One of my biggest realizations is that I’ve come full circle—starting with the body through dance, shifting into the mind through engineering, and now uniting body, mind, and spirit in my coaching practice. It’s amazing how life leads you exactly where you’re meant to be.”
As she continues to embrace this path, her mission remains clear: to help others reconnect with their true selves, experience joy and transformation through movement, and create a life that is both fulfilling and deeply aligned with their purpose. “This work isn’t just about movement—it’s about shifting the mind, opening up to spirit, and truly living. That’s the gift I want to share with the world.”

Spring Awakening
5 Ways to Lighten Up in Mind, Body, and Spirit
As spring unfolds, nature reminds us of renewal, growth, and lightness. The season invites us to shed the heaviness of winter and embrace a fresher, more vibrant way of living. Here are five ways to lighten up in mind, body, and spirit this spring.
- Clear Out the Clutter
Physical clutter often mirrors mental clutter. Take time to declutter your home, workspace, and even digital spaces. Donate unused items, organize your surroundings, and create a space that promotes clarity and peace. As you release what no longer serves you, you make room for fresh energy and inspiration. - Nourish with Seasonal Foods
Spring offers an abundance of fresh, colorful foods that can energize your body and uplift your spirit. Incorporate leafy greens, sprouts, citrus fruits, and other seasonal produce into your diet. Light, nutrient-rich meals can enhance digestion, boost immunity, and provide sustained energy for longer, brighter days. - Move with Joy
With warmer temperatures and longer daylight hours, spring is the perfect time to move in ways that bring you joy. Whether it’s TranscenDance™, hiking, yoga, or simply walking in nature, physical movement helps release stagnant energy, improve mood, and enhance overall well-being. - Refresh Your Mindset
Spring is a season of new beginnings. Challenge yourself to adopt a fresh perspective by embracing positivity, practicing gratitude, and setting new intentions. Journaling, meditation, or creative activities can help shift your mindset and invite more lightness into your thoughts. - Connect with Nature
Spending time outdoors helps synchronize your energy with the rhythms of the earth. Whether it’s gardening, forest bathing, or simply feeling the sun on your skin, nature has a grounding and rejuvenating effect. Connecting with the natural world fosters a sense of peace, balance, and renewed vitality.
As you step into spring, allow yourself to embrace these practices with an open heart. By clearing space, nourishing your body, moving joyfully, refreshing your mindset, and connecting with nature, you can cultivate a sense of lightness that carries you through the season and beyond.
Honoring Mother Earth on Earth Day and Every Day
Earth Day is a beautiful reminder to celebrate and care for our planet, but our connection with Mother Earth should be nurtured daily. By adopting sustainable practices and fostering a deeper relationship with nature, we can express our gratitude for the Earth in meaningful ways. Here are some simple yet impactful ways to honor our planet not just on Earth Day (April 22) but every day of the year.
- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle with Intention
Mindful consumption is one of the most effective ways to care for the Earth. Reduce waste by choosing reusable products, repurposing items, and recycling responsibly. Every small step toward reducing plastic and unnecessary waste helps protect ecosystems and wildlife. - Support Sustainable Choices
The choices we make in what we buy and consume have a direct impact on the planet. Support ethical brands, opt for local and organic produce, and choose eco-friendly products whenever possible. Voting with your wallet encourages businesses to adopt more sustainable practices. - Connect with Nature Regularly
Spending time outdoors fosters appreciation and respect for the natural world. Whether it’s hiking, gardening, or simply sitting beneath a tree, immersing yourself in nature strengthens your bond with the Earth and reminds you of the beauty worth protecting. - Conserve Energy and Resources
Simple habits like turning off lights, unplugging devices, conserving water, and using renewable energy sources can make a big difference. Being mindful of our energy use reduces our carbon footprint and helps sustain the planet’s resources. - Practice Earth-Friendly Rituals
Honor Mother Earth through daily rituals like offering gratitude, planting trees, or participating in clean-up efforts. Consider celebrating the cycles of the moon, practicing eco-conscious mindfulness, or creating an altar with natural elements to deepen your connection. - Educate and Inspire Others
Sharing knowledge and inspiring those around you to take action creates a ripple effect. Engage in conversations about sustainability, support environmental movements, and encourage others to adopt small but meaningful changes in their daily lives.
By integrating these practices into your lifestyle, you contribute to a more harmonious relationship with the Earth. Honoring Mother Earth is not just about a single day of action but a lifelong commitment to respect, protect, and celebrate the planet we call home.
