Here are 3 surefire ways to tune into and be guided by your heart intuition, so that you’ll make wiser and more confident decisions in all areas of your life!
Heart intuition is the natural ability or power to know something without physical proof or evidence.
Whether you call it an inner knowing, your higher self or your “sixth sense,” that wise inner voice inside is always communicating with you in ways that your logical, rational mind can never know.
Shakti Gawain, a well-respected New Age author and philosopher, said:
“There is a universal, intelligent, life force that exists within everyone and everything. It resides within each one of us as a deep wisdom, an inner knowing. We can access this wonderful source of knowledge and wisdom through our intuition, an inner sense that tells us what feels right and true for us at any given moment.”
We are all born with intuition. It is our connection to infinite intelligence.
Our intuition provides us with useful information about the world, beyond what we can sense with our five senses.
Intuition is the little nudge we feel on a soul level that tells us to that someone we’ve just met is going to become a great friend or even future mate, that it’s time to forgive that person we feel has wronged us, or that it’s time to move in a different direction in our business or career.
When we don’t listen to our intuition, we can experience a lot of unnecessary struggle and pain in life.
But, when we pay more attention to what our intuition tells us, and we start to follow this guidance on an ongoing basis, we can begin to partner with the infinite, move quickly into a state of flow, and transform all areas of our life more quickly and easily than we ever imagined possible!
Here are 3 ways that you can effectively tune in and turn up the volume of your intuition
#1. Spend some time alone (and without the distraction of technology).
If you’re just starting to gain mastery in the area of tuning into your intuition, it can be challenging to hear what it’s trying to tell you when you’re in the presence and opinions of other people (whether these opinions are negative or not).
This is why it’s very important to set aside time for you to be alone, with your own thoughts, free from the distractions of technology and other people.
So here’s the challenge: Each day, aim to spend even just 15 minutes sitting in silence and solitude, ideally in a quiet place without the distraction of technology.
If you live in an environment where finding quiet time is challenging for you, consider playing some relaxing music on your smartphone or other device, and pop some headphones in.
As you sit in solitude, close your eyes. Take a few deep, slow breaths to help relax your body, and begin tuning into your own thoughts. It may take some time for you to still the busy chitter chatter of your mind, but when you do, the voice of your intuition will become more and more clear.
#2. Write in a Journal.
Another wonderful way to build a better relationship with your intuition is to write in a journal.
You don’t have to be a professional writer to journal. The process of journaling is very much about accessing those thoughts and feelings that are deeper below the surface, and writing your stream of consciousness down.
Don’t worry about writing perfectly, or whether your handwriting is legible.
Our goal in life is never perfection, it’s progress!
Just grab a pen and a notebook, or even a napkin (whatever inspires you to take action) and begin writing down your thoughts.
By writing down your thoughts, you are giving energy and attention to what’s happening in your inner world instead of just your outer world, and this opens up a gateway for your intuition to speak to you.
#3. Try setting a time limit to make decisions.
There are times when we may find it difficult to make a decision about something important in our lives. Perhaps we are afraid of making the wrong decision, and so we either procrastinate on deciding on a course of action, or we find ourselves spending our time, energy and focus weighing out the pros and cons of a situation.
Consider that your intuition will never lead you astray. It always seeks to guide you toward people, opportunities and situations that will serve your highest good.
So, when faced with a decision, give yourself a time limit. For example, “I will decide whether to say ‘YES’ to this business opportunity today.” Then, trust your gut instinct on the matter. Resist the urge to think you need to collect more information, or do more analysis on the situation, before deciding what to do.
As visionary entrepreneur, Steve Jobs, once said, “Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. Everything else is secondary.”
And now, here’s a free gift that will help you build your muscle when it comes to tuning into and following your intuition:

For me the power of intuition is a gift wr receive when we are sensitive to the nudges of the Holy Spirit in us. It’s a guiding force that allows us to see with clarity where we need to go to help achieve our dreams. It is actually a grace from a loving God who sees that we want to align our desires to His will. It becomes almost a very natural way of responding if we are attentive.
I personally use silencing, journalling and discerning to help accessing my intuition.
