Lauren Brollier Newton
Well, welcome back to the Abundant Coach. Lauren brilliant isn’t here, and I’m super happy to be with you today because we are going to talk about what is it actually actually look like behind the scenes when you’re just starting out as a coach and you’ve made nothing so far, so you’re at zero figures technically. What does it look like when you scale to $100,000 to $500,000 to $1 million, if that’s your dream?
00;00;55;26 – 00;01;13;21
Lauren Brollier Newton
Now, I always want to start by saying, of course, you guys know me by now. If you’ve been listening for a long time and you know this institute, there is no one size fits all. So what that means is, what I say doesn’t mean that it’s going to be perfect for everybody. First of all, some coaches don’t ever want to get to seven figures or even six figures.
00;01;13;23 – 00;01;32;03
Lauren Brollier Newton
Some people are like, can I do this without ever having employees? Or I want my employees to do everything, and I just want to do one call a week, or like there’s no right or wrong way. And after, you know, this is seven years of doing this and building to seven figures and joining an eight figure company and seeing and collaborating with lots of people in the industry.
00;01;32;05 – 00;01;53;07
Lauren Brollier Newton
What I will share is that, looking back, you can see there really isn’t a one right way to do it. You’ve got to my my opinion is I would invite you to look at all the different resources that you have and then say, which one resonates with me, what path do I resonate with the most, and then start taking some steps in that way.
00;01;53;07 – 00;02;21;17
Lauren Brollier Newton
So this is all about scaling your business from 0 to 7 figures. And I want to start with a Henry David Thoreau quote. Now, for those of you who know Brave Thinking institute the roots of what we teach at this institute, really, in a lot of ways come from not everything, but a lot of ways come from the Transcendentalists Emerson and Thoreau, who, Margaret Fuller, who believed that there is a part of you that transcends all condition, all circumstance, all things of this earth, that there is a part of us.
00;02;21;19 – 00;02;45;15
Lauren Brollier Newton
Call it God, call it spirit, call it life. There’s a part of us in our human nature that transcends all things physical, that can transcend problem and circumstance. So I thought it was apropos here to start with the Henry David Thoreau quote. So the quote is, what you get by achieving your goals is not as important as who you become in the process.
00;02;45;17 – 00;03;06;12
Lauren Brollier Newton
What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as who you become in the process. And I can tell you 10,000% from experience that that is absolutely true, that I’ve generated the multi-million dollars and I’ve bought the 5000 square foot house, and I’ve fallen in love with the love of my life, and I’ve helped tens of thousands of people around the world.
00;03;06;14 – 00;03;29;27
Lauren Brollier Newton
This institute has reached millions and millions of people. Mary Morrissey has touched uncountable lives. And I think when all of us look back at everything that we’ve achieved, it really is who you become in the process. It’s not the thing. The thing is fleeting. The thing can be taken away tomorrow, but who you are and what you did that can never, ever be taken from you.
00;03;29;29 – 00;03;54;16
Lauren Brollier Newton
So let’s dive in here to this, episode about scaling. The first thing I want to say about starting at zero figures. And you’ve heard this before. This is not going to be new, is it’s very important to have a vision of where you’re going and not make decisions out of when. I know it’s going to sound like a very hard task, and it is rigorous, but don’t make decisions out of what you think you should do.
00;03;54;18 – 00;04;11;18
Lauren Brollier Newton
Don’t make decisions out of all. I see all everybody over here doing this, and this is what I got to do to make money. Don’t let the I got to make money get in the way of what it is you would really love to do with your coaching business. That’s number one. There’s. I was just, hosting a call that we have with our certified coaches at Brave Thinking Institute.
00;04;11;25 – 00;04;38;22
Lauren Brollier Newton
Those that decide to get business support beyond their certificate can join. We have one of two programs. One is called accelerator, and it’s, a business program where people can continue to learn how to grow their coaching business. And then the next level, the highest level, is called elevate. And so I was on a call with all our accelerator and Elevate coaches, yesterday and I spoke to the topic of stop shooting yourself.
00;04;38;25 – 00;04;59;28
Lauren Brollier Newton
Meaning don’t should yourself about how to build your business. Don’t say, I should do this, I should do that. I gotta make money. Look, somebody over here is doing this. Rumi said something like, there’s a thousand ways to kiss the ground, which means to connect with God, spirit life. There’s there’s thousands of ways to do that. And a coaching business is not different if you’re wanting to live the life you love and help other people do that, then there’s a thousand ways to kiss the ground.
00;04;59;28 – 00;05;20;12
Lauren Brollier Newton
Meaning you might love building online. You might love building by speaking engagements. You might be the networking queen like Jenna Lane, who I previously had on this show. There’s a million different ways to build a coaching business. All of them, yes, are going to require our four pillars that we always talk about coaching and curriculum, business sense, marketing and enrollment.
00;05;20;12 – 00;05;39;25
Lauren Brollier Newton
There’s got to be a way to do that no matter what kind of coaching you’re doing or how you’re enrolling clients. I follow a business coach. I really love her, and she is all email marketing. Literally. I’ve never seen herself on the stage. I’ve maybe seen her sell on her Facebook lives into her program, but like most of her selling comes through email.
00;05;39;27 – 00;06;00;10
Lauren Brollier Newton
But notice that she’s still enrolling clients, so you’re never going to get away from. If you’re going to call yourself a coach, you got to coach number one two, business bookkeeping, payment processing, all that. Gotta have that. Tell me if you find a way around that. Three marketing, you got to let people know that you exist and for enrollment.
00;06;00;12 – 00;06;20;00
Lauren Brollier Newton
So there’s millions of ways to do it. This coach I’m talking about, Sarah, she does it through email marketing here at the institute. We’re we’re large advocates of workshops. Fast, easy way to market yourself and get yourself in front of people speaking engagements. But there’s lots of different ways to do it. You could slip in people’s DMs so to speak, and just spam everybody on Facebook and let them know that you’re a coach and tell them if they want to sign up.
00;06;20;00 – 00;06;39;27
Lauren Brollier Newton
I mean, there’s lots of ways to do it and there’s no right or wrong way. But what I was saying in this accelerator and elevate call yesterday was that we’ve got to stop shooting ourselves, because business building a business is not for the faint of heart already. And if you spend your whole time building a business and thinking, I should do this, I should do that, what’s this person doing over here?
00;06;39;27 – 00;07;01;18
Lauren Brollier Newton
Oh, I got to make calls or else I’m a bad person. Like you’re going to terrorize yourself and it’s going to feel like crap trying to build your business in that way, because it’s a very constrictive. It’s not life giving. You’re not following your intuition. You’re not doing what you would really love. So to scale from 0 to 6 figures, my message for that is it’s not that it’s not going to be rigorous.
00;07;01;18 – 00;07;26;28
Lauren Brollier Newton
It’s not that you’re not going to have to stretch yourself and do some things you normally wouldn’t do, but I would invite you to look at all the many ways in which to do that, and then find what feels great to you. And I always like to use the example of slipping in the DMs, because at the level of fact between LinkedIn, Facebook, all these different text messages, I literally get so many messages from people who don’t know me saying, hey, do you want to join this?
00;07;26;28 – 00;07;46;06
Lauren Brollier Newton
Hey, do you want to join that? Hey, it looks like you’re a coach. Would you like to enroll 15 clients a day? And, I don’t like that personally. It feels invasive to me. I’m like, you could have just looked at my Facebook profile and seen what I do and just tailored your message slightly to to me. Now, that’s me personally.
00;07;46;07 – 00;08;02;03
Lauren Brollier Newton
No offense to any of you listening who do that. I’m just not your ideal client. Now, if you do that enough times, if you send out 500 messages a day, you’ll probably get some takers. So if it’s working for you, that’s good. It’s ultimately good. If it feels good to you, that’s what I’m saying. Doesn’t feel good to me.
00;08;02;06 – 00;08;22;18
Lauren Brollier Newton
But there’s a difference between stretching yourself and something not feeling good to you. So let me give you an example of this. Okay, so one example I’m saying I don’t like slipping into people’s DMs, but that’s a blanket statement. That’s not actually true with a capital T, because if I know the person and I care about them, I’m totally fine messaging them and being like, oh, I saw you posted on Facebook that you went to Greece.
00;08;22;18 – 00;08;45;09
Lauren Brollier Newton
How was it? Did you love it? Like, that’s fine for me? I don’t feel that right. So when you’re looking at the menu of options, my invitation to you is to say, okay, just reaching out to random people with an offer that may or may not serve them doesn’t feel life giving to me, but does reaching out to people that already know, like, and trust me and letting them know that I’ve got something going on that they might enjoy and no pressure.
00;08;45;09 – 00;09;06;08
Lauren Brollier Newton
Feel good to me. Yeah, like I do that all day long. So when you’re looking at the menu, I mean, I’m inviting you not to be black and white with it. It’s not like I either always use DMs and I spam the hell out of people, or I never use DMs like, look at the menu and see, is there any way within these different ways I could grow my business that feel actually good to me?
00;09;06;10 – 00;09;26;19
Lauren Brollier Newton
The second thing, and I know this is controversial, because there’s a lot of business coaches out there that are like, you can’t just follow your intuition and expect to build a business. And that is a very in some ways, they’re not wrong. Like you can’t just wake up and be like, oh, I don’t know. You know, maybe I’ll just look at the moon like there has to be some structure to business.
00;09;26;19 – 00;09;50;16
Lauren Brollier Newton
And that actually is spiritual because energy, if you look at the way this universe works, requires structure to move effectively and efficiently, and you get to pick what structure that is. And the controversial thing I’m going to say is, I believe if we connected to spirit, really tuned in to spirit. Whatever you define that as, your connection to your higher self God meditation, getting quiet.
00;09;50;23 – 00;10;21;00
Lauren Brollier Newton
If you tuned into it and you asked for ten steps to take to grow your business, downloaded that from the infinite and took action on some of them. That’s going to take you all the way to a seven figure business. No job, because that’s how Mary Morrissey built her business, and that’s how I built my business. Now, those ten steps might be very traditional steps that you hear, you know, get a marketing advisor post on Facebook, do this, but at least you’re being guided and you can take a look and go have all these ideas between my own subconscious mind, my history, the things I know, and the infinite itself.
00;10;21;00 – 00;10;47;23
Lauren Brollier Newton
Between all of these ideas, are there some that feel actually life giving to me? I’m not shooting myself saying, well, I really should do that once I saw someone else do that. No, but just does it feel life giving to you? And if it does, taking action on it. So the ideas themselves, they could be very traditional or very businessy, and at least it gives you the opportunity to hear from yourself what it is that you would actually love.
00;10;47;25 – 00;11;16;05
Lauren Brollier Newton
So that is my high, high, high recommendation is that you do actually use your intuition to build your business. And when I say intuition, listen for ideas and only move on. The ideas that spark you do not should yourself. And that’s 0 to 6. Figure will work. I made six figures in I think my first eight. Well, I made 58 grand my first year when I was working for full time, but my second year in coaching, I made $140,000.
00;11;16;07 – 00;11;33;13
Lauren Brollier Newton
And when I look back at those first two years, I stretched myself a lot. I was scared a lot. A lot of things scared me. Scared to go to marketing meetings, scared to have my first enrollment call. Like it wasn’t like it wasn’t scary. But I wanted the result. And I cared enough about people to stretch myself. But I didn’t break myself.
00;11;33;13 – 00;11;54;28
Lauren Brollier Newton
And there is a difference. But when I look back at those first two years, I loved my life the whole time. Like there was no feeling of like, I hate this, or like I’m shooting myself to do things because I was trained by the best. I was trained by Mary Morrissey and the Brave Thinking Institute faculty, and they taught me that you don’t have to struggle, work hard, stress, strive in order to have results.
00;11;55;00 – 00;12;12;15
Lauren Brollier Newton
And so when I look back at those first, you know, let’s say 18 months, because my first $10,000 month, which is technically a six figure month, if you calculate 10,000 times 12, was in my hold on me. Count it. March, April, may, June, July, August. Yeah, my eighth month as a coach. I had my first $10,000 a month and most of that I was working full time.
00;12;12;18 – 00;12;43;26
Lauren Brollier Newton
So I was super pleased with that. When I started going full time coaching, I well, I literally slept in every day, never set an alarm because I was sick of setting an alarm. I had done that for years as a teacher. I my in my vision I wrote I wake up when my eyes open, right? I’ve talked about this on another podcast and I started work sometimes at like 10 or 11, and then I was done at like 2 or 3 because I had a deep belief in what Mary Morrissey taught me, that I it there has to be a way in an infinite universe with infinite possibilities, to create a six figure business in
00;12;43;26 – 00;12;58;21
Lauren Brollier Newton
ways that feel life giving to me. And I did that. And it wasn’t that there wasn’t stretch and struggle and all sorts of things. And then, oh, here comes this little thing called the pandemic. Like, yes, there was all of that, but I didn’t suffer at all. And that’s what I’m inviting you into, is what if you could do it in ways that feel good to you?
00;12;58;21 – 00;13;14;19
Lauren Brollier Newton
And yes, you’re going to stretch and yes, you’re going to grow and yes, you’re going to be scared sometimes. But if you look at the general like the, you know, pie chart, it’s like 95% and freaking loved every minute of it. 5%. That was scary as hell. Like, what if that was possible for you? Of course it is.
00;13;14;22 – 00;13;40;05
Lauren Brollier Newton
So 0 to 6 figures. My greatest advice for you is there’s going to be yes, some some element of like rigor and hustle and stretching yourself. I would hold if I were you. I can do this in ways that feel really good to me, as long as I’m doing something from the menu of the four pillars of coaching, a successful coaching business coaching and curriculum, business marketing and enrollment and you choose which way you want to kiss the ground is that says Rumi said.
00;13;40;08 – 00;13;56;25
Lauren Brollier Newton
So that’s 0 to 6 figures. A couple other just practical highlights of 0 to 6 figures. You are probably going to be doing a lot of things yourself that you eventually won’t be doing. You don’t have to do, but if you want to bring in the income, you can hire people right away and get going. Or you can do a lot of it yourself.
00;13;56;25 – 00;14;13;25
Lauren Brollier Newton
I did a lot of it myself, which I wouldn’t recommend until I hit about 400 grand. And then I was like, okay, maybe it’s time to ask for help. So I would probably do that sooner, but 0 to 6 figures follow your intuition. Look at the the four pillars. Choose the things that feel the most life giving to you.
00;14;13;28 – 00;14;35;05
Lauren Brollier Newton
Keep connecting to spirit and doing those things, but do it in a way that feels good to you and you’ll enjoy that. That process, six figures seems to be a huge milestone for a lot of people and building a coaching business. I will tell you, a 100,000 to 500,000 is a very different model than 0 to 100,000, 100,000 to 500,000.
00;14;35;05 – 00;14;57;07
Lauren Brollier Newton
You’re going to start to see that you will max yourself out. You can no longer do everything you can. No longer, just hustle. It’s going to take more creativity than that. And if you built 0 to 6 in the manner that I suggest, and we would suggest that the Institute which is get connected to spirit, follow guidance, do the things you love.
00;14;57;09 – 00;15;16;07
Lauren Brollier Newton
You’ll be you’ll be good, and you’ll set yourself up really well for 500,000. Now you’re starting to ask yourself, how can I leverage my time more? At this point in my own business, I think I had 14 1 to 1 clients. That was 14 hours a week. I had like three groups. I had Q&A calls. So it’s like, when are you going to market?
00;15;16;07 – 00;15;35;27
Lauren Brollier Newton
Do your books, live, eat, sleep. You know, like, what are you going to do all that, do your speaking engagements or whatever it is your Facebook posting? What are you going to do all that. So 100 to 500,000, in my opinion is really thinking about like not completely scaling, but you’re starting to think, how can I leverage my time?
00;15;35;29 – 00;15;51;18
Lauren Brollier Newton
What if I could move from 1 to 1 clients to some groups? Or what if I could raise the price on my 1 to 1 clients so that I have more bandwidth? Because now there’s more demand? You’re probably sold out at this point with 1 to 1 coaching. What if I could get more people in my group but they could have the same results?
00;15;51;21 – 00;16;19;03
Lauren Brollier Newton
What if I could create a leverage program so people don’t have to start at the same time every month, and they can just roll in, and that saves time? What if I had a willingness to hire people to do the things that I don’t really love? Like what if? What if I had some of that? So, in this phase, I would say you’re looking for ways to leverage your time in ways that still serve the clients, and you still believe in and in ways that give you more bandwidth to do.
00;16;19;03 – 00;16;43;17
Lauren Brollier Newton
What I would guess is your zone of genius, which is actually coach the people. So in this phase of my own business, as I mentioned, you know, I waited a little bit long, but the first move I made was hiring an assistant who was sort of a jack of all trades, could do hosting, could do website stuff, could do administrative tasks, could upload things, and then that person eventually, over time, moved into a full time marketing manager sort of role.
00;16;43;17 – 00;17;04;07
Lauren Brollier Newton
And then I got a new person in her previous role. But it’s nice in the beginning to have that. I’ll give you one warning, though, as you’re building, know that you can change it tomorrow. So if you’re building an infrastructure of employees or independent contractors, and then there becomes a time when you’re no longer in love with that model, blow the whole thing up and create a new model.
00;17;04;07 – 00;17;29;18
Lauren Brollier Newton
Don’t keep sticking with a model that doesn’t work for you just because it’s already in place. Okay, growing to $500,000 is also also about having more reach, bigger reach, bigger speaking engagements, bigger email list, bigger like like finding more reach so that it’s easier for those clients to come in. Because at 0 to 100,000, 80% of your time is going to be spent on client attraction from 100,000 to 500,000.
00;17;29;18 – 00;18;00;11
Lauren Brollier Newton
I would say it doesn’t go down that much, but maybe goes down to like 70% or so, or maybe 60% because you’re getting more referrals and there’s momentum and people are re enrolling and the ball starts to roll. Right. 500,000 to 1 million just creates more leverage ability. It’s like it’s very similar to 100 to 5, but 500 to 1 million is you’re not going to make $1 million with ten 1 to 1 clients anymore.
00;18;00;11 – 00;18;18;18
Lauren Brollier Newton
I mean, you can hear let’s calculate with that would be $1 million divided by ten clients. So if they’re willing to pay 100,000 each, yes, you could do that. And there and actually there’s coaches who can charge that because of their level of skill set. So you could do that. You could you could make $1 million by having ten 1 to 1 clients.
00;18;18;18 – 00;18;44;05
Lauren Brollier Newton
You pay 100 grand a year to contract with you and do whatever it is you’re going to do. You could also make $1 million by selling 3367 people on a $297 program. So you can scale that way. Like there’s like, again, there’s many ways to kiss the ground. And that version where it’s a one to many approach requires a lot of infrastructure.
00;18;44;05 – 00;19;12;01
Lauren Brollier Newton
And what I mean by infrastructure is, it’s going to require, you know, like email lists and ads and things of that nature. So when you’re building from 500,000 to 1 million, it’s really I have found about more reach, more willingness to give things up that no longer serve you. So let me give give you a picture of where my model was at 400,000 and where my model became at, you know, over over a million a year.
00;19;12;04 – 00;19;33;08
Lauren Brollier Newton
So at 400,000, I had a weekly masterclass that people could join. It was a group program. I think at that time, gosh, I was a cheap date. It was probably like four grand for the year. Yeah, something like that, four grand for the year. And people could come to my year long masterclass and, it would be a weekly class where I taught them the tools to transform their lives.
00;19;33;10 – 00;19;49;18
Lauren Brollier Newton
And then it was I would have a Q&A call twice a month where they would come and get their laser coaching, but this was all group. And then I had a lot of 1 to 1 clients at that time, and that’s when I, I remember it was right during Covid times, I had a webinar because I had never really had a ton of webinars before, but, you know, was Covid.
00;19;49;18 – 00;20;14;28
Lauren Brollier Newton
So we adapt and I had a webinar and I think something like 28 people asked for a consultation and then like 11 or 12 of them enrolled. I didn’t have 28 hours to spare to do all these consultations. And a real client. So I was like, okay, I’m going to have to shift some things. So I was already probably at a $300,000 revenue there, but I didn’t have any employees or anything.
00;20;15;00 – 00;20;32;09
Lauren Brollier Newton
That was when I made the shift to. And I’m not saying this is the right thing to do, by the way. I’m just saying this is what revealed itself to me in my meditations and my awareness. I hired someone to do the administrative tasks, as I mentioned, and then I hired two sales gals that could help me with these sessions and enroll people into the programs.
00;20;32;11 – 00;20;54;28
Lauren Brollier Newton
When I got to $1 million a year, I was. Now I had no 1 to 1 coaching. My programs cost more to invest with me because I had more skill, and I was better at helping people create results. And I still had my year long program. And then I found leverage ways to work with clients. So instead of working them 1 to 1, I created a model where they would come to my weekly masterclass.
00;20;54;28 – 00;21;11;26
Lauren Brollier Newton
Everybody that worked with me came to that weekly masterclass. This is the Mary Morrissey model. She it’s not like I invented this. She taught me this. But then the part that I was like, oh, I could do this is instead of doing 1 to 1 consultations with people, I did 1 to 1 voice text exchanges with people so they would fill out a form of what they wanted coaching on.
00;21;11;26 – 00;21;27;08
Lauren Brollier Newton
I would create a voice recording, sometimes five minutes long, sometimes 20 minutes long. But I could do it any time I could do it. While I was writing my horse if I wanted to. And I had like, you know, I think I had like 30 or 40 people at one point in that high level program, and that was about a $20,000 investment.
00;21;27;11 – 00;21;48;13
Lauren Brollier Newton
So you can make these, adjustments to be more scalable as you have people supporting your business to help you. By the time I was making, you know, I was on track when I came to Brave Thinking Institute. I think if I didn’t move to the Institute, I probably would have done 2 million in revenue that year. And that year still had all the leverage ability, still had as much reach.

But I made the decision. I’m not saying this is the move to make. I’m just saying this is the move I made. I didn’t want to do sales calls anymore, and I didn’t want my team to do it because I wasn’t good at leading a sales team, because I didn’t have the stick to itiveness. I got bored easily.
00;22;02;08 – 00;22;18;21

And so I was like, I’m not going to do any sales calls. I’m going to sell from the stage or from email this whole year. And that year we did like over $1 million. The year I came to the Institute, just from me selling from the stage, no sales calls. So here’s what here’s why I’m sharing that with you.
00;22;18;24 – 00;22;37;03

There is no right path to go from 0 to 6 to multiple 6 to 7. There is going to be a requirement for you to get more creative, more scalable, more leverage able, and I think it’s easier when you follow spirit, because if I were to force myself to run a sales team at that point, I there’s no way I would have made $1 million.
00;22;37;03 – 00;22;55;08
Lauren Brollier Newton
I just would have been pissed off at the world. I would have been like, I don’t like doing this, I don’t care. And so, it’s not that I don’t care. It’s just like, it’s not my zone of genius. And therefore it felt heavy. So you can see that I was making moves to see how can I still have the impact, create more reach, create more free time.
00;22;55;15 – 00;23;17;20
Lauren Brollier Newton
And that’s what you’re going to do as you go. The systems become so important from 500,000 to $1 million. What I mean by the systems is that everything is more elegant and exquisite, from your bookkeeping to your client files, to the way you work with your employees, to your payroll like you want the system to work so efficiently that you barely see the system, if that makes sense.
00;23;17;22 – 00;23;35;17
Lauren Brollier Newton
And then thing that you get to do is you don’t have to do any longer any of the system stuff, and you just get to be the face of the company. That’s the best feeling. It’s something you’re not holding the vision. It’s not that you’re not supporting all of those things, but you. But you get to be out of the systems themselves and really doing the things that are in your zone of genius.

So I’ve said a great many things here. You know me, I just speak Raleigh. I don’t know if Raleigh is the right word. I think it’s the city. I speak in a raw, unfiltered manner, and I just kind of tell you the tea. Right? I just share with you what it is. So if I had to say 0 to 6 figures, it’s usually for most people, hustle.
00;23;54;07 – 00;24;16;14

But I would say the brave thinking Institute way would be follow your guidance for how you want to implement the four pillars in ways that feel really good to you. 100,000 to 500,000 is learning leverage. Most people do it as let me just hustle more and burn myself out. But at Brave Thinking Institute we would recommend and we train our coaches and we actually give them the leverage of a model, by the way, so you don’t have to invent this yourself.
00;24;16;14 – 00;24;46;24
Lauren Brollier Newton
We give you the leverage of a model. It’s awesome. So 100,000 to 500,000. So six figures to multiple six. You’re looking at more of a how can I leverage and ways that feel really good. To me 500 to 1 million for many people is again more stress burnout and shutting themselves. But the brave thinking Institute way is system exquisite elegant, beautiful systems that you’re in love with that are intuitively guided, that support you and being the coach that you want to be.

So back to Thoreau, because this is important to tie a bow around this episode when he says it’s not really the achieving your goals, it’s who you become in the process. We always have this idea when I hit a million, I’m going to feel different. When I have this, it’s all going to work out. But here’s the thing that we forget as humans.
00;25;03;21 – 00;25;20;15
Lauren Brollier Newton
We want to keep growing the tree doesn’t grow to ten feet. And I go, yeah, I’m done growing. Like I’m looking out my front window right now. There’s deer in my front yard. It’s beautiful. A little bit of snow on the ground. There’s all these tall, huge spruce spruce trees and I’m looking at all of them like they haven’t stopped growing when we got here, that they were at a certain level.
00;25;20;19 – 00;25;40;25
Lauren Brollier Newton
They’re taller now and I’m going to trim them since I don’t want them to block the view of the mountain I have going on here. But they’re growing because every living thing wants more. So when you reach a million, it’s wonderful. And everything that that gives you like the fact that I could donate, you know, $50,000 to charity and not even blink.
00;25;40;27 – 00;26;04;00
Lauren Brollier Newton
I wrote a check for $10,000 to my church one year, when I was probably at the Million Dollar Love, I wrote a check without even thinking about it for $10,000 to my church when they needed something. I mean, that is like, wonderful, but it isn’t actually the getting of the goal. It’s wonderful. Like, I don’t want to delete or sound arrogant, that it’s not wonderful because it is.
00;26;04;02 – 00;26;27;10
Lauren Brollier Newton
It’s beautiful and it’s wonderful. But what is even more, I think a connection between you and God at that moment is a heartfelt gratitude for your opportunity to become the person who can do that. That’s really what’s what it is. So with that, I love you very much. I hope this was helpful, and I’m looking forward to hearing who you become in the process of building whatever size business you would love.
