Discover 3 Proven Strategies to Move into Vibrational Alignment with Your Intended Results
Transformational leadership is about leading yourself and/or others from one set of results to a new set of results — results that you’d love.
One way to dramatically increase your results is to influence the energy around you by using the Law of Vibrational Fit.
As transformational leaders, we set a clear intention on Monday about the results we would like to accomplish by Friday.
We’re able to imagine what we would like to feel like at 5 p.m. on Friday and align our actions throughout the week as we move toward that vision.
There are 7 hidden laws of leadership that you can use to increase your effectiveness as a transformational leader.
The Law of Vibrational Fit is the third of these laws. (Make sure to read about the first law, The Law of Essential Self and on the second law, The Law of Distorted Reality.)
You’re Interpreting Vibrations All the Time
I remember walking into my kitchen one morning about five years ago. My twin daughters, who were in high school at the time, were making breakfast before heading off to school.
As soon as I walked in the room, I sensed that something wasn’t right. On the surface everything seemed fine: The girls were just going about their morning, doing what they needed to do to grab a bite to eat. But the energy of the mood felt … tense. Awkward. Off.
After a few seconds observing them and noticing how I was feeling being in that room with them, I asked what was going on.
At this point in their life, they were in a phase where they were wearing and swapping clothes.
That particular morning, they had both wanted to wear a certain sweater. They got into an argument about it, and the conclusion they had reached was that neither of them would wear it!
A fair decision, perhaps, but it left them frustrated with each other. They were in a vibrational state of frustration, and I was able to sense their mood simply by walking into the room.
You’ve probably had similar experiences.
Perhaps you’ve walked into a room that felt tense, angry or even sad. Or perhaps you’ve joined a conversation and within seconds picked up that something was going on and wasn’t being said.
What you’re picking up on in situations like these is energy – and there’s a scientific explanation for what happens in these scenarios. We can use the scientific principles at work behind these very common scenarios to transform our leadership – and our results.
Everything Is Energy
One of Albert Einstein’s most famous sayings – and teachings — is that “Everything is energy.” This means that everything has an energetic vibration.
Everything in the universe — the device you’re using to read this article, the walls surrounding you, the cells of your body — all of it is vibrating at its own unique frequency.
Frequencies are persistent, consistent movements of whatever event you happen to be focusing on. This is not philosophy. This is physics.
We can use this principle to create the results we want through the Law of Vibrational Fit:
When we match the frequency of the reality we want, we cannot help but get it. There is no other way.
As transformational leaders, we use the Law of Vibrational Fit to direct our intentions. This law tells us to calibrate our vibration to our intended result. What are you focusing on?
Change Your Team’s Vibration
Team chemistry is far more powerful than individual talent.
If you’re leading a team or even an entire organization, recognize that your team — and the organization as a whole — is operating on a vibrational tone.
As a transformational leader, you play an important role in setting the vibrational tone. You set your individual tone, which can influence the people and space around you, just as my daughters were able to affect the vibrational tone of our kitchen all those years ago.
If you’re leading a team, you can deliberately influence the vibrational tone of your people. If you’re leading the entire organization, your influence becomes even greater – and more important.
The tone you set isn’t something that’s random or that just happens. You can set a tone that aligns with the results you want to create using the Law of Vibrational Fit
3 Ways to Calibrate Vibration
There are three ways to calibrate vibration. For best results, use all three methods together.
Law of Vibrational Fit Strategy #1: Calibrate Your Thoughts
As a transformational leader, you know how crucial it is to set your vision. As Stephen Covey taught, “Begin with the end in mind.”
Have a clear vision of what you would love to create this week – what you would love more of. Create the vision and focus on your vision several times each day.
Law of Vibrational Fit Strategy #2: Calibrate Your Actions
As leaders, we live by our calendars. Our calendars reveal our priorities. Make time in your calendar to take the actions that will create your intended result.
Taking actions daily to move toward your intended vision not only creates changes in your physical environment that will eventually produce the result you want, it also changes your vibrational tone as you move steadily into alignment with your vision.
Law of Vibrational Fit Strategy #3: Calibrate Your Feelings
Feelings are incredibly important for vibrational fit.
But understand and remember that feelings follow. Feelings do not lead.
We think, and we act, and then we notice that our feelings fall into alignment.
In the beginning of your transformational journey, you might not like doing what it takes to align with your vision.
You might not feel like getting up early and exercising, for example, to move in the direction of the health results you would love. But guess what? Eventually, your feelings will come into alignment.
Change Your Vibration, Change Your Result
Transformational leaders take 100 percent responsibility for their results — including their energetic vibration.
Only you can deliberately change your vibrational tone. Calibrate a vibrational fit with the results you want to create by changing your thinking, your actions, and your feelings.
By changing your own vibrational tone — and by demonstrating how you do it — you’ll be able to influence your team’s and organization’s vibrational tone, eventually creating alignment with your organization’s vision.
Now it’s your turn!
When you’re out of alignment on a vibrational level, what do you find effective for creating a vibrational fit with what you want to create? Share your thoughts on The Law of Vibrational Fit below.
