Life.
That’s a pretty big category.
A fitness coach has to know about fitness, a baseball coach has to know about baseball, but a life coach has to know about life.
Do you know enough about a category that broad and expansive to be able to coach clients?
To answer their questions, no matter how varied those questions may be? Do you have to know everything about everything?
The good news is… you don’t.
Life coaching isn’t about knowing all the details
It’s about knowing the laws and principles that govern the details.
If Bob is trying to find a girlfriend, Susan wants to buy a house she can’t afford, and Cassandra wants to build a business despite a poor and troubled background, that doesn’t mean you have to be a dating expert, a financial adviser and a business guru in order to help all three of them.
What you do need, is to understand the laws that govern whether people succeed or not in EVERY area of their lives.
These laws are universal and infallible, and they apply equally to every situation.
And besides covering all the areas in which you’ll need to coach people, these principles also help you gain insight into the specifics of each situation.
While your clients’ problems may be different, they tend to stem from similar sources.
If you can get to the source of your client’s challenge, you can help that client move forward, no matter what the exact nature of their difficulty is.
But that doesn’t mean that one size fits all
Even after you’ve mastered the universal principles of success, you still need to be able to help your clients identify the specific mental, emotional and habitual blockages that are holding them back from the life they desire.
You also need to know how to guide them to take actions that move them closer to their goals.
You don’t have to accumulate all that knowledge on your own
I’ve devoted my life to teaching people how to help themselves and their clients to build their dream lives, no matter how varied or impossible those dreams seem to be.
Imagine if you could go into any situation where a person was struggling, and be able to guide them even if you weren’t an expert in their specific area of difficulty!
And imagine if you could do this with hundreds or even thousands of people, and make a six-figure income in the process!
Does this sound like something you want to do?
