When it comes to being a successful life coach, your clients are going to want to know that you can help them create the results that they want to see in their lives.
To ensure that you can help your life coaching clients generate the results they desire, you want to follow a transformational curriculum that is proven, reliable and repeatable.
Each time you begin working with someone, you’re not trying to reinvent the wheel of what takes someone from where they are to where they want to be. For your client’s success, and for the success of your life coaching business, you want to follow a system that works! If you are a new electrician, for example, you work alongside a master electrician who guides you through how to wire a house to code.
You don’t have to figure out how electricity flows — you study with someone who has this knowledge, and who has successfully applied it time and time again.
You see, just like the way that electricity works, there are invisible laws that govern how results are created.
Invisible laws govern how desired results are created
When you understand how these laws work, you can easily and effectively take a life coaching client from where they are to where they want to be, and all by virtue of taking them through a proven, reliable and repeatable process that works.
But even when you do take your clients through a proven system of transformation, you may still find that some of your clients occasionally become stuck.
Your clients may sometimes lose their motivation to keep moving forward towards what it is that they really desire.
This sometimes occurs because your client’s old “paradigm,” or their old way of thinking about things and living their life, is keeping them stuck in different ways:
- They pay more attention to their doubt
- They pay more attention to their worry
- They pay more attention to their fear
…. rather than paying attention to the possibility of what life will be like once they achieve their dreams… and this is precisely why they need a life coach like you in their corner!
So how are you going to motivate a client to keep moving toward their dreams?
When they feel mired in unfavorable circumstances or challenging situations:
- You’re going to help them again and again go back to their vision of what they would truly love.
- You’re going to help them describe a life that they absolutely love living.
- You’re going to help them reconnect to their power and to the feeling of passion for a life they would love living.
This way, you can motivate clients who fall off track or lose their inspiration and momentum by reconnecting them to their dreams.
Whenever I hear a client say to me,
“You know, I don’t know. I’m just not feeling the passion for it anymore.”
Then we go,
“Okay. Well, we don’t have to build any dream, but let’s take a look at what you are doing and what you said you want to do.”
And here’s what I almost always find…
The client has fallen prey to fearful thoughts, worry-thoughts, and thoughts of doubt that started to distract them. They started worrying, whether they were an executive running an $80 million business, or a single mom.
It doesn’t matter the background of the person, the way the old paradigm of thinking works is the same — they’re moving successfully towards their dreams, and then all of the sudden, they seem to become derailed.
They seem to lose momentum. They seem to lose heart. This “becoming stuck” is a typical part of creating success. Chances are, your clients are going to hit some walls.
These walls are really not “in the world.” They are in each one of US!
They are walls of the paradigm, or the pattern of the life we’ve lived before.
As a life coach, you are here to help your clients bust their old paradigm, and move powerfully toward what it is that they would truly love.
You are going to be the person that’s going to help them reignite the vigor and the fire for their dreams!
When Napoleon Hill talked about success he said:
“Every person who wins in any undertaking must be willing to cut all sources of retreat. Only by doing so can one be sure of maintaining that state of mind known as a burning desire to win — essential to success.”
You are the match that ignites the fire. You are the one who helps your clients keep that fire burning.
Now, I’d like to give you further support in knowing how to support your clients when the disempowering thoughts of fear, doubt and worry cause them to become stuck in their journey to success…
