Forbes Magazine Called Life Coaching “One Of The Fastest Growing Six-Figure Careers” In The United States, And This Growth Is Happening All Over The World
According to Forbes, simply put, life coaching is exploding. 25 years ago, if you told someone you were a coach, they’d have asked you, “What sport?”
But as you’re probably aware, things are shifting in the world, and people don’t just know about life coaching… they’re actually seeking it out.
This is because we are living in a time of expanded awareness.
Now more than ever, we are aiming to live in the moment, become more awake, be more mindful, and expand the possibilities in our life.
Step-by-step tools and proven strategies for starting or growing a highly successful life coaching business
Most people didn’t discuss these ideas openly 20 years ago, or even 10 years ago, but now they’re becoming part of daily conversation in people’s personal and professional lives.
If you think about it for a moment, it makes sense: as more and more people use transformational principles to generate amazing results for themselves, more and more people realize that there’s a hidden pattern to success!
And they want help fully understanding this pattern and apply it to their own lives in a way that will provide themselves with extraordinary results with ease and speed.
Here’s how a life coach named Patricia realized the widespread need for life coaches
Patricia is coach certified with Brave Thinking Institute, and she shared with us a story I really love that shows the universal need for life coaching.
There was a shortage of cabs, so a woman I’d never met before and I decided to share a cab to get to the airport.
We started talking. She asked me what I do for a living, so I told her, “Well, I’m a certified life coach.”
And then the woman said to me, “GET OUT OF HERE!”
So I said, “No, really, I’m a professional life coach. Why?”
And the woman explained that she was a lawyer, saying,
“I really don’t like what I do for a living anymore and I’ve been feeling really frustrated with my life. I was talking to my sister just last week and I said, ‘You know what? I really think I need to make a change, so I think I’m going to go find a counselor or someone to talk to… I think I need some counseling or something!’
And my sister said, ‘Honey, you don’t need a counselor, you need a life coach!’ And I thought to myself, well okay, but where on earth am I ever going to find a life coach? And here you are!”
So Patricia enrolled this woman in her coaching program, and helped her steer her life in a new, more fulfilling direction!
Now I love this story because it perfectly illustrates the growing and global need for life coaches, and how ready and willing so many people are to find and accept help transforming their lives.
Expanding consciousness means life coaching will remain one of the fastest growing industries
I could tell you so many more of the stories like Patricia’s that we’ve heard from coaches certified through Brave Thinking Institute.
Because the truth is, the more consciousness continues to expand on our planet, the more people seek out assistance with creating happier, healthier, more purposeful lives.
So whether you’re already a life coach or you aspire to be one, and you find yourself occasionally doubting whether you can really make an impact on the world, I am here to tell you that you really can!
There is an ever-increasing demand for your services because so many people want more in life, and so many heart-centered people like you want to give more to life.

It sounds like a life coach is actually a pretty useful person to have around. It sounds like they are a good alternative to therapy. It also sounds like they can be someone who helps you make good life decisions. I like that it’s a good way to help people for work.

I know I have what it takes to be a life coach. Still concerned about how to transition from my day time job to this even part time.
Glenn Winters

What is the path to become a certified Life Coach?
With a BS in Human Services, and already later in life, yet too young to retire, I am looking for new opportunities. I have raised my children, followed my husband in his career and cared for ailing parents. Now we’ve moved yet again to a new state, so with little support I’m looking for my next “mission” but I do not wish to spend hours and months in school. Nor settle for a $10 dollar a month job. Please tell me, what do you have to offer?
With gratitude,
Glenn Winters
Ellen,
So many of our clients who have gone on to become successful life coaches share your story! Wanted to share this blog with you to show you what you can learn as you head into your life’s next act. To me, it sounds like you have the heart-centered part built into you, which is huge for our coaches, who share that sense of calling.
Additionally, if you’d like to set up a call to discuss directly with one of our Program Experts, you can do that here, where they’ll walk you through what it might look like for you to explore this journey!
Cheers Ellen!

It makes perfect sense as our lives get more complicated and we are creating our own paths. Our lives are so different from our parents we don’t always have a role model to follow. It would be nice to have a sounding board to listen to us and help keep us on track, even when we can’t see where we are going.
Glenn Winters
Right, Merry!
It doesn’t matter how old we get, we’re always learning new ways to navigate this thing breathing us called life. That’s what life coaches seek to do: help transform the lives of those looking to change.
Sally Smith
I interested in life coaching and want to know more. How would i get started?
Glenn Winters
Hi Sally!
Thanks for the question. I’d recommend starting here, a video called, “Thinking About Becoming a Life Coach?” It’s got the highlights of what you can expect from a career as a life coach.
