Embracing the Divine Feminine
Spotlighting Facilitator Laura Corkery
We are thrilled to share the story of our TranscenDance™ sister, Laura Corkery.
Laura Corkery’s path to self-discovery and personal growth was ignited by an unexpected opportunity: enrolling in a personal growth program. This seemingly small step became the catalyst for a profound journey, leading her to life-changing mentors like Mary Morrissey and Jennifer Joy Jiménez. At DreamBuilder Live in Dallas, Laura experienced a pivotal awakening that deepened her self-awareness. Inspired by this event, she enrolled in the DreamBuilder Coach and Life Mastery Consultant Certification programs. She later discovered Jennifer Joy Jiménez’s transformative teachings on the sacred connection between movement, emotional healing, and personal empowerment.
When the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted life as we knew it, Laura found herself navigating a whirlwind of challenges. As a mother of two young children and the wife of a first responder, she was juggling remote learning, a demanding full-time job, and the uncertainties of an unprecedented time. The constant demands left her depleted. “I was exhausted,” Laura recalls. “I had nothing left energetically. So, when I saw the information about Jennifer’s retreat in Sedona, I thought, ‘Oh gosh, I need this!” That decision became a pivotal moment in her life.
In Sedona, Laura reconnected with a part of herself she had long suppressed: the joy of dance. For her, dance was more than just physical movement—it was a sacred expression of the divine feminine, offering emotional release, inner freedom, and a profound reconnection to her authentic self. “I’ve always felt deeply connected to music,” Laura shares. “It feels like a true expression of myself—a manifestation of joy and a connection to the soul.”
During the retreat, she participated in TranscenDance™ for the first time, an experience that reignited her passion for movement and self-expression. “At the beginning, I was still inhibited, not fully connected to my body,” she admits. “But as we continued over the subsequent days, I opened up more and more, remembering the love and joy of dance.” Guided by Jennifer’s facilitation, which emphasized connecting with the inner child, Laura found a gateway to release long-buried emotions. “I hadn’t experienced that kind of freedom, joy, and celebration since I was a child,” she reflects. The transformative experience allowed her to reclaim a vital part of her identity and reconnect with her divine essence.
When the opportunity to enroll in the TranscenDance™ Facilitator Training Program was presented, Laura was initially hesitant, she saw her participation as a personal journey. “I signed up for me, to deepen my understanding and connection,” she admits. However, as she progressed through the training process, the transformation she experienced became undeniable. “I saw so much change in myself, and others reflected that back to me. It felt wrong not to share something that had been so healing and awakening with others.”
Jennifer’s Vibrant Healthy Woman Program and retreats became a cornerstone of Laura’s journey, immersing her in supportive communities of women where competition was replaced with loving connections, collaboration and profound healing. These experiences helped her release limiting beliefs and recognize that transformation is a lifelong endeavor. Guided by the wisdom of other women in these spaces, she found inspiration to continue her evolution and create opportunities for others to do the same.
As she leaned into the divine feminine, she reframed femininity as a source of strength, creativity, and resilience. In a male-dominated industry where she had once felt compelled to hide her femininity to gain credibility, she now unapologetically embraces it. Laura’s journey is a testament to the coexistence of grace and strength, redefining leadership by embodying authenticity and vulnerability. Whether confidently wearing dresses to work or challenging societal norms, she shows that honoring the divine feminine reshapes how we define power.
Today, Laura feels vibrant, radiant, healthy in her body, confident and full of life. Since starting her journey of transformation, through mindset shifts, healthier choices, lifestyle changes and TranscenDance™, she has released roughly 100lbs.
Professionally she blends her passion for sacred movement with her professional pursuits. Through her TranscenDance™ classes and vision workshops, she creates spaces where individuals can reconnect with their divine feminine, heal old wounds, and step into their authentic power. Laura’s work is a reflection of her belief in the transformative power of authenticity, joy, and self-discovery. Her journey reminds us that embracing the divine feminine is not just personal—it’s a collective awakening, lighting the way for others to find strength, grace, and transformation within themselves.

The Gift of Increase
3 Powerful Ways to Enrich Lives and Spread Joy This Holiday Season
The holiday season is a time of joy, connection, and generosity—a perfect opportunity to embrace the role of a “person of increase.” This means enriching the lives of those around you, leaving them better than you found them. Here are three simple yet impactful ways to embody this spirit and create a ripple effect of positivity that lasts well beyond the festive season.
- Shift Your Mindset to Add Value: Being a person of increase starts with asking the right question: How can I add value? Instead of focusing on what you can gain, look for ways to contribute meaningfully to others. This could be as simple as offering genuine encouragement, sharing your wisdom, or lending a helping hand. For example, if you excel at problem-solving, help a friend or family member navigate a challenge. By focusing on how you can make someone’s day a little brighter, you bring joy and purpose to your own life as well.
- Share Your Unique Talents: Sharing your talents is one of the most powerful ways to uplift and inspire others during the holiday season and beyond. Whether it’s guiding others through breakthroughs as a coach, facilitating transformation through TranscenDance™, or offering your unique skills, your gifts can make a meaningful impact. Embrace what you’re naturally good at—fostering growth, creating safe spaces for self-expression, encouraging movement and joy, or even cooking a meal for someone in need—and use those abilities to solve problems, provide comfort, or spark joy. Your contributions don’t need to be grand; it’s the thoughtfulness and care behind your actions that leave a lasting impression. By identifying and sharing your talents intentionally, you bless others while enriching your own sense of purpose and connection.
- Model Abundance Through Kindness: Generosity isn’t just about material gifts—it’s about showing up with an abundant spirit. Spread kindness wherever you go, whether it’s through a warm smile, a heartfelt compliment, or an act of service. Expressing gratitude is another powerful way to model abundance. Let people know they’re appreciated, and watch how your joy inspires others to give freely and joyfully as well. By showing up with authenticity and a heart focused on uplifting others, you make the holiday season—and every season—a little brighter for everyone around you.
By adopting these three practices, you’ll embody the spirit of giving and create lasting connections, joy, and love that extend far beyond the holidays.
Dance Into Joy
3 Ways to Embrace Celebration Through TranscenDance™
TranscenDance™ is more than just movement—it’s a liberating journey that unites body, mind, and spirit in a harmonious dance of joy and self-expression. Whether you’re looking to release stress, connect with your inner self, or celebrate life, TranscenDance™ offers a powerful, uplifting experience. Here are three ways to immerse yourself in this transformative practice and embrace joyful celebration.
- Flow Freely with Intuitive Movement
At the heart of TranscenDance™ lies intuitive movement, which invites you to surrender to the rhythm and let your body guide you.
- Create a safe space: Find a private, clutter-free area where you feel uninhibited.
- Choose music that resonates: Pick tunes that evoke joy, peace, or excitement. World rhythms, ambient soundscapes, or uplifting beats work wonderfully.
- Let go of judgment: Silence your inner critic and move however feels natural, whether it’s a sway, jump, spin, or stillness.
Intuitive movement is a form of meditation in motion. It helps release stored tension, awakens creativity, and fosters a deeper connection with yourself.
- Embrace the Power of Group Energy
Dancing with others amplifies the joy of celebration. When you share your energy with a group, the collective movement creates a sense of unity and belonging. This is especially transformative in a TranscenDance™ class.
- Participate in guided sessions: Join local or online TranscenDance™ classes where facilitators create a supportive environment. Mark your calendar with this month’s TranscenDance™ Live Virtual Classes. For more classes, check out the TranscenDance™️ Global Community Facebook Group.
- Engage in non-verbal connection: Make eye contact, mirror movements, or sync with the rhythm of others to feel a sense of connection.
- Celebrate diversity: Embrace the different expressions and energies of each participant, recognizing that together you create something beautiful.
Group dancing fosters a profound sense of joy and reminds us of the power of community.
- Set Intentions for Your Dance
Infuse your TranscenDance™ practice with purpose by setting intentions. Whether it’s celebrating a milestone, processing emotions, or expressing gratitude, intentions add meaning to your movements.
- Reflect before you begin: In a group TranscenDance™ class, this will be part of the first stage of the practice. Take a moment to identify what you want to focus on—healing, joy, creativity, or something else.
- Visualize your intention: Imagine your dance as a manifestation of your goal. For example, if you’re dancing for joy, envision your movements spreading happiness like ripples in water.
- Close with gratitude: End your session by acknowledging the experience and the emotions it brought forth.
Dancing with intention deepens your practice and transforms it into a celebration of life’s journey.
TranscenDance™ is a pathway to joy, connection, and self-discovery. Whether you’re dancing solo or joining a group class, the practice encourages you to celebrate life in all its vibrant forms. So, let go, tune into the music, and let your spirit soar.
