Serving Up Love
Spotlighting Facilitator Dr. Alla Goldman
Dr. Alla Goldman, now known as Dr. Alla, The Dancing Gypsy Doctor, embarked on a profound journey of love and body freedom after years of burnout and disconnection. As a dedicated medical doctor, she poured herself into her work, yet deep down, she felt an aching void—one that medicine alone could not heal.
In 2017, fate intervened. Dr. Alla stumbled upon an interview with Mary Morrissey and was immediately captivated. Something about Mary’s words stirred her spirit. Without hesitation, she enrolled in one of Mary’s online programs and later attended Dream Builder Live. Immersing herself in the teachings of the Brave Thinking Institute, she devoured every program she could, feeling an awakening within her that she had long ignored.
During this transformative period, Dr. Alla encountered Jennifer Joy Jimenez, a mentor whose every movement and message resonated deeply. Dr. Alla knew she was destined to work with Jennifer, though the timing and path remained unclear. At that point, the TranscenDance™ Facilitator program was not yet available, and even if it had been, she wasn’t quite ready. “I needed time to grow and develop,” she reflects.
Then, the world shifted. As a frontline Urgent Care doctor in Philadelphia during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Alla found herself unexpectedly furloughed. The relentless pace of her work life screeched to a halt, leaving her feeling directionless. Yet, through her inner work, she held onto one powerful truth—if she was still breathing, Spirit still had a purpose for her.
It was then that she reconnected with an old love: dance. For years, her passion for movement had been buried beneath the demands of her career. Now, with time on her hands and a deep longing in her heart, she simply put on music and began to move. A few minutes each day turned into a practice, and before long, her body and soul were awakening in ways she hadn’t imagined.
At this pivotal moment, Jennifer’s TranscenDance™ Facilitator program shifted online due to the pandemic. Spirit’s timing was impeccable. Dr. Alla was finally ready. “It was an answer to my prayers,” she recalls.
This training was more than just learning dance facilitation—it was a revelation. Dr. Alla understood movement’s power to release stored energy, but now she saw its deeper significance. “I knew about movement, but I didn’t grasp how essential it is to quiet the monkey mind and let the body process emotions. We’re so conditioned to rely on talk therapy, but words can only take us so far. The rest must come from body wisdom.”
Now, Dr. Alla facilitates from a place of pure, unconditional love. She describes her presence in the dance space as that of a “loving Grandma offering a warm cup of tea.” Through TranscenDance™, she helps others recognize the miracle they are so they can, in turn, see the miracle in others. “When we do this, we build bridges, not walls.”
Her passion lies in helping women feel deeply loved and guiding them toward greater self-love through movement. One of the most profound lessons she carries forward from Jennifer is encapsulated in a story Jennifer once shared about her daughter. The young girl had told her mother, “You taught me how to look in the mirror lovingly.” This simple yet powerful sentiment is at the core of Dr. Alla’s mission—to be a beacon of love through dance.
Today, Dr. Alla has facilitated countless TranscenDance™ classes online, in-person, and at transformative retreats. She particularly enjoys integrating TranscenDance™ into online Zoom classes, where she brings the magic of movement to people across the world.
Her story is a testament to the power of dance—not just as an art form but as a healing force. From the depths of burnout to the liberation of self-expression, Dr. Alla, The Dancing Gypsy Doctor, is now a radiant guide, helping others rediscover their joy, their bodies, and their love for life—one movement at a time.

Radiate from Within
6 Ways to Cultivate Self Love
Today’s culture often prioritizes external achievements over inner well-being, making the practice of self-love essential. True self-love involves fully embracing yourself beyond fleeting moments of confidence. Here are five empowering ways to strengthen your relationship with yourself.
-
- Cultivate Self-Compassion
Self-love starts with self-compassion. Replace harsh self-judgment with kindness. When facing challenges, treat yourself as you would a dear friend. Accepting your imperfections as part of the human experience allows you to foster a more positive self-image. - Prioritize Your Well-Being
Caring for your body and mind is a profound act of self-love. Nourish yourself with wholesome foods, stay active, and get adequate rest. Engage in activities that bring you joy, whether it’s meditation, journaling, or a creative hobby. Taking care of yourself sends the message that you are worthy of love and attention. - Establish Healthy Boundaries
Respecting your limits and energy is vital. Set clear boundaries to protect your emotional and mental well-being. Learn to say no without guilt and surround yourself with people who uplift and respect you. Boundaries help create a space where self-love can thrive. - Celebrate Your Authenticity
Comparison can hinder self-love. Instead of measuring yourself against others, embrace what makes you unique. Honor your strengths, quirks, and journey. Celebrate even small accomplishments and recognize that your individuality is a gift. - Practice Self-Affirmation
The words you speak to yourself shape your self-image. Develop a habit of using positive affirmations that reinforce your self-worth. Whether through mirror work, gratitude journaling, or daily reflections, affirm statements like, “I am enough,” “I deserve love,” and “I embrace my true self.” - Listen to Your True Self Through TranscenDance™
Just as active listening strengthens relationships with others, it is equally important to listen to yourself with presence and compassion. TranscenDance™, a practice that blends movement and mindfulness, offers a powerful way to tune into your inner voice. Through free-flowing movement, you create space to release emotional blockages, reconnect with your authentic self, and honor your thoughts and feelings without judgment. By allowing your body to express what words cannot, you cultivate self-awareness, self-acceptance, and a deeper sense of love for yourself.
- Cultivate Self-Compassion
Self-love is an ongoing journey, not a final destination. By cultivating self-compassion and prioritizing your well-being, you nurture a deep and lasting connection with yourself. When you love yourself, you radiate confidence and inspire others to do the same.
Celebrating Love: Valentine’s Day and Beyond
7 Ways to Show Love and Appreciation Every Day
Today’s culture often prioritizes external achievements over inner well-being, making the practice of self-love essential. True self-love involves fully embracing yourself beyond fleeting moments of confidence. Here are five empowering ways to strengthen your relationship with yourself.
-
- Express Gratitude
A simple “thank you” can have a profound impact. Whether through handwritten notes, heartfelt messages, or a spontaneous phone call, showing appreciation strengthens bonds and fosters deeper connections. - Spend Quality Time
Presence is one of the most valuable gifts you can offer. Dedicate time to loved ones by engaging in meaningful conversations, enjoying a shared hobby, or simply being there to listen and support. - Perform Acts of Kindness
Small gestures of kindness can brighten someone’s day. Offer help to a neighbor, surprise a friend with their favorite treat, or volunteer in your community. These acts of love create ripples that extend far beyond their initial impact. - Celebrate Milestones and Achievements
Recognizing and celebrating the accomplishments of others—big or small—demonstrates that you value their efforts and journey. A thoughtful congratulatory message or a small celebration can uplift and encourage loved ones. - Foster a Culture of Encouragement
Words have immense power. Be intentional about uplifting those around you with words of encouragement and affirmation. Reminding people of their strengths and potential helps cultivate a supportive and loving environment. - Practice Active Listening
One of the most profound ways to show love is to listen attentively. Give people your undivided attention, validate their feelings, and respond with empathy. This simple act can make people feel valued and understood. - Create Thoughtful Traditions
Traditions help reinforce love and togetherness. Whether it’s a weekly check-in call, an annual gathering, or a shared creative project, establishing meaningful traditions strengthens connections and provides lasting memories.
Love is not confined to a single day—it thrives in daily moments of kindness, appreciation, and support. By celebrating love beyond Valentine’s Day, we cultivate a world that is richer, warmer, and more connected. Let love be your guiding force every day of the year.
