Are you feeling worn out, frustrated, or close to giving up with the whole dating thing? Here are some simple steps you can take to shift your mindset, tap into confidence and prove that true love is possible for you!
It’s common to feel discouraged with dating – and online dating – at some point… spending hours browsing through profiles of shirtless selfies, one word messages saying “sup”, and guys who still have a profile picture from when they were in their 20s… Ugh! After a while, it’s enough to make anyone feel burnt out and mentally drained.
So what can you do when you’re feeling discouraged with dating?
In this post, we’re going to talk through 3 steps to reframe your mindset and have you feeling energized and open to new possibilities in your love life!
Before we get into the 3 steps to help you stop getting discouraged dating, here’s a video version of the article if you’d prefer to watch and listen rather than read:
Still with me? Here are the 3 steps to dating freedom:
Take a Break
Perhaps you’re someone who’s gone on dozens of bad dates, and you think that if you just keep going, you’ll make it through this bad patch.
The truth is, if you keep at it and continue to go on date after date, you’re going to feel irritated, you’re going to feel crabby, and you might as well not even show up to the next date because the version of you that’s showing up is not going to be fun.

You’re an amazing woman, but if you continue down this path, the next guy is going to meet the angry, jaded, cynical version of you. Even if he wanted to fall in love with you, he wouldn’t be able to find you behind all the discouragement and negative energy you’re subconsciously putting out to the world.
Here’s a new idea…
If you’re feeling discouraged about dating, stop! Take a break and give yourself some time off . Think about it like fitness — if you work the same muscle group every single day, it’s going to feel tired, because you need time to recover and regenerate that muscle.
So when it comes to dating, giving yourself a break could be the refreshing rest you deserve, meaning that when you do come back, you feel far more confident and can present the best version of yourself.
Surround Yourself with Support
It’s important to clarify that support in this context isn’t from your friends and family who are already married. That kind of support may just exaggerate your feeling of discouragement as you look at their happy relationships. Instead, what I mean here is surrounding yourself with people who are going through what you’re going through!
When you have friends who are on the same journey, you get to hear about their crash and burn relationships, their dating discouraged days. And you also get to hear about their successes, their encouragement, and the lessons they learned.
You’ll find that you’re most receptive to support and new ideas when it’s coming from someone who’s going through the same journey as you.
In fact, that’s one of the main reasons why I created my Manifest Your Man program — to form a sisterhood of women who are all growing themselves, supporting and celebrating each other, and being authentic and real throughout the process of manifesting their dream man.
It’s a phenomenal journey, and a powerful community, so if you would love to meet thousands of women supporting you, guiding you, and going through exactly what you’re going through, I encourage you to click this link to book a call with one of my program experts!
Build Your Believing
When you have a date and you thought it went well, but you never hear from him again, it can start to erode your believing power.
Doubts start forming in your mind…
“Maybe it’s not going to happen for me, maybe I’m not enough.”
When you start believing that voice, it’s the beginning of the end for dating because it completely kills your confidence!
So here’s the challenge, when you go on a date and it doesn’t work out, instead of thinking “It’s not working out for me”, I encourage you to embrace the idea that this is a step on the path to finding your man.
Imagine for a moment, you needed to go through 20 dates until you met your dream man, and that it wasn’t going to work out on any of those 20 dates until you met your guy on the 21st date.
If you truly believed that on the 21st date, you were going to meet the man of your dreams, how would you feel about the 19th and the 20th not working out? You’d be grateful they didn’t call you back!
You’d be excited because you’d know that on the 21st first date, you were going to meet the man of your dreams.
This is how powerful your power of believing is when it comes to dissolving dating discouragement!
So now you have the 3 steps to rejuvenating your dating ability, feeling supported, and feeling confident to get back out there with the belief that you can find love. I assure you, if you keep the faith, if you keep working and growing, you WILL manifest your man!

Putting It All Into Perspective When You’re Discouraged With Dating
Remember, your love life can completely change overnight…
Especially in today’s modern world, think about this if you’re discouraged with dating sites. It’s possible to get online this evening, message a guy, get on a phone call, go on a date…
And from that moment on, he’s your man! You’ve gone from zero to a hundred percent overnight, and that’s how quickly your love life can change.
